Well, here's the update. I'm doing good..it's Wednesday (which means the week is moving quickly).

I'm learning many things..some I knew, some I didn't...in taking a practice test at the hotel last night, I did better than I've done before...second guessed myself on a few things, and irritated at that. The instructor said that if you have a first guess, you should go with it, as second guessing will kill ya.

I'm the only one in my class..so, that is making it a bit easier..lot of points for me to ask questions, and a lot of opportunity for the instructor to tailor the class to what i know and don't. I've got a NICE big book to study, and to study once I get home (have been studying it after class at the Hotel)..

Am getting a nicer Tool Kit than what was advertised with the class, as they dont' have any of the ones that were promises...I've got one that has a soldering iron, solder, and a bunch of other stuff...some I'll use, some I won't...will put other tools into it once I get home.

Went with my boss' idea of going to Meijer, and buying some hamburger and other stuff, to cut back on expenses of eating out..as of now, all I will have to expense back to the company is the dinner on Sunday at Papa Vinos (No way in hell was I going to go shopping and cook after driving all the way up here). The downside? I had the burner on too high when cooking the burgers the first night (monday), and set off the smoke alarm...Bachelor cooking, that's how you know when it is done...the staff at the hotel understood, and told me how to clear the room of the smoke..still smells of hamburger in there. AND, have been eating Chicken Patties during lunch, so that works nicely too..except for Friday, which the training facility is covering. And, he thinks we'll wrap up early on Friday, so I don't have to hit Rush Hour on the way home.

More later, class is starting back up.

Sounds like things are going well!!

Per, overjoyed to hear that things are going well! Personally I love teaching my classes when there is only 2-3 people in class. I feel that the students get more out of the class than when there are more than 5 students (thank goodness the largest class I've ever taught alone was 12 students). Just be sure to take your test soon after the class is over with. You'll remember more and you'll more than likely be more jazzed up about studying for it right away as opposed to 3-5 months down the line.

Be careful coming home!
