Yes, I still exist.

Burnout, partial LJ burnout, partial "getting my head together", and many other things.

Hit a chuckhole over a week ago, and had to replace the rims/wheels on my car. Wow, that's a fun expense this time of year.

Midterms are driving me insane. 400 level class, non-profits, where it was ALL short/long answer. Unfortunately, reading the texts isn't helping me (yay for a kinsthetic/audio learner), but I'm working with my teacher, and an adviser, to see what can be done.

Need to get more involved on campus, per my adviser. So, am trying to find things that interest me to do there. Was amazed going through the bookstore to see the comic book "Watchmen" on sale..apparently, there's a comic book class (no, not gonna take it). Still no word on fencing. Tried to take it THIS semester, but it wasn't offered anymore. Adviser is trying to help me. Tis good, the adviser really does understand me fairly well (though, she's one of my teachers, is three months older than me, and refers to me as "kiddo"), but she's trying to help me, which everyone says is what a good adviser is supposed to do. Yes, the plan is a degree path for this. Yup, it's likely to drive me even more insane, but oh well.

So, what else? Neil Gaiman put out a call for people to purchase from neilgamian.net, the arm of Dreamhaven books, and I picked up a few CDs. One of which came signed, even though I hadn't asked for it to be. "Where's Neil when you need him". And, Vendetta (a funny cop parody, involving Santa Claus), finally arrived on DVD. The website, http://www.vendettachristmas.com/, basically allows you to send a self-addressed envelope/mailer, and they'll send you the DVD. If you look at the site and are partially interested? I recommend. When it first came out, years ago, it was a lot of fun. Good mindless diversion. :-)

Oh, Desidera, I have 2 Hellboy books to loan to you. :-) The first two, and yes, the movie was much better than I imagined.

And, final note, thanks to Mobobocita, am now hooked on the game "Kingdom of loathing". http://www.kingdomofloathing.com

So, that's about it for me right now. Hope things are improving/better for everyone else. It'll be nice if 2007 isn't the "Oh my fucking god" transition year that 2006 seemed to have been. But then, most of life is in transition, so I'm not exactly a good judge on that right now. :-P

Hey! I'd like to borrow those two books...
And I found out from the teacher that fencing *is* being held this semester.

I'll check with him tomorrow night about if it's going to be held next semester too.

It's a phys ed class if that helps.

It is? Awesome! *nod* I saw it listed under there, but it didn't show any way to be able to see that it's a real class this semester.

Awe-fuckin-some. Now, for a $65,000 question...summer session? Eh, either way, it works.

When shall I get books to you? I'm almost done with the second one, and the "owner" in me is trying to see the cheapest way to get the third. :-)

All I know is that last semester, the head of the Dept. I'm in couldn't find it, said it wasn't available. Either way, it'll be good to take it next semester. May well be better not to take it in summer. :-)

It's not offered in summer sessions because it interferes with the schedule for the Nationals tournament(big important thing)

by "Not Available" it probably meant that the class was already full. It's a popular class and I think that there is only one section. So if you want in, you have to be registered for it as soon as you possibly can.

Cool, It's also not a very well known class. But like I said, it should be listed with the other phys ed classes like swimming and bowling.

*nod* He had made it sound like it wasn't even available (then again, the dept. head, vs my adviser), as I'm not sure he thinks it a good class for me to take. Adviser? She thinks it's a great idea. :-)

Ugh..next semester is gonna be fun. 4 out of 5 days on campus. Hmmm...Tuesdays, 3 to 5 for that one, and M,W, and F for two of my other classes.

I'm enjoying it, still, and have only been there a week. Already reading the boards, and have a theory on the grimacite site. Wonder if anyone else has noticed that, in the raffle, you get enough items to make a 7 piece "outfit". Hmmm...still, neat to see what all evolves from it.

Messaged you, anything you can help me with is appreciated, and I promise to try not to blow too much on that damn money making game. :-P This is too addictive.

You should look online at indygov.org to see if you can get the city to reimburse you for the repair since you hit a hole.... the news said something about that the other night, might be worth a try.
