Took the practice exam twice today...

First time, I got an 88%...second, I got a 94%...of course, the software rates that as a failure, but I'm pretty damn happy.

I keep reading more and more..it's the damned "2f8h" stuff that's getting me..rather, I should say, it's the I/O addresses that are killing me.

Now, I've finally gotten it into my head that Com 1 and 3 or IRQ 4, and Come 2 and 4 are IRQ 3...now if I can get and keep their I/O stuff seperate, I'll be fine..

So, in short, the learning continues, I'm still not where i want to be in order to take said test, but I'm getting there.

Now, on other fun news...I go to make my "Wand" tomorrow after work...a friend makes Props and such..and, I decided that for the Whose Line game "Storytime", that my pointer should be a wand...hence, making my own. Yeah, I could make a duplicate of Harry Potter's wand (Or Hermione's, or Ron's, or Neville's, Or Flitwick's), but decided that I want my own...and will customize my own. *heh* All sorts of fun.

94% is a failure?? Good grief! What's a success?? It sounds like that class did you a lot of good!

I'm going to guess that a 100% is what the test is looking for, but I'm gonna be happy for a bit with 94..

The class DID help, now I just have to memorize a few other things...and I'll be doing great for the test. :-)

U can always do what I do when I know I have a weakness. I write down the stuff on "flash cards" and quiz myself. Then, just before I walk into the test, I read them once again (sometimes twice). I repeat the sequence in my head over and over and pray someone does not distract me too much.

Actually, I've been doing the practice tests in learning mode, and then printing out the ones I screw up on. And then reading the sheets like a maniac...I've actually bumped up my score a bit...the last three tests I've gotten have been all above 80%...2 of em being 94%....

Now, to start taking the other practice exam, and see how much crossover there is in it, and what I need to know better from it..

And, then, next week, I'm going back up to Mishawaka for the OS training...should be lots of fun.
