per_soloOk, so, apparently, not working, I'm not eligible for state grants/aid.
Well, correction..because I was working last year, I'm not eligible. So, I get to file an appeal for a professional judgement. :-P More fun, yay.
Harry Potter book tomorrow, I should grab mine at some point, but we'll see. Once I start the book, I won't want to stop (SPOILERS WILL BE RAMPANT), so, working on Homework, so I can read unmolested this weekend, and work on some homework in there too.
Convention? No long report, we'll just say the convention was fun. And, found out that what I plan on doing for Gencon actually will COUNT towards internship hours. I'm not working Gencon itself, but am helping a gaming company I enjoy to pull off events, and such, and was told to my incredulous face by my intern advisor that "That's Exposition Marketing, you bet that counts".
And once again, I think "This job is too much fun (and chaotic, and maddening, and others) to qualify as a life hating job".
Have come down with a bug in the last few days, so am trying hard not to let that keep me too down.
Have caught up to 4th season on 4400 (interesting), watched the first season of Weeds (which was great), have yet to touch "Burn Notice". Also, finally watched "The Lost Room", and I have to say, i REALLY liked that one. No idea how they would pull off a series, but for what it was, it was enjoyable. And left you with a few too many questions to never touch it again.
New Icon, thanks to the comic book "Nextwave". I recommend, the image is a celestial (think that's what the damned things are called), calling the machine man a "Loser". :-P It's a warren ellis book, so it's a lot of fun, and at times, does feel like a bastard offspring of Transmet, as most of his stuff does.
Just formatted a laptop, after getting permission, as a side job. Won't bring in much, but will bring in enough for me to pay for Gencon. I underestimated how many hours it would take, but at least I didn't donate that many hours to he project. It was initially a spam removal (and boy, I'd love to smack the person who created Smitfraud-C), but after other issues, it became apparent that it would take a format. This person gets bonus points..she included ALL system discs. Whoot!
Saw the new HP film, at the IMAX, and the last 20 minutes or so were awesome in 3d. Movie was good..I liked a lot of what they combined, but was mystified by things they left out.
And, that's about it.
