It's looking more and more like Watchmen will become a real film.
I have mixed feelings on this. Watchmen did a great job, way back when, of making comics darker, more real, and with really well told stories.
I'm unsure of the cast so far, except in the fact that I know little about most of those cast. That actually helps me feel more optimistic towards it. However, Watchmen has been in "development hell" for more years than I remember, really. It is an extremely long, detailed story. And I'm not 100% sure that a single movie adaptation can do it justice.
I want it to. I REALLY want it to, but I'm trying to be realistic (yes, the irony).

Has anyone here read Watchmen, and if so, what are your thoughts? Either on casting, or on the fact that it's being made at all.
