Suddenly, I'm craving the old "Smiley Faced Cookies" that Rosalyn bakeries used to make.

Cough has backed off a little, but I think that's only because I dozed off while reading "The Black Dossier".

Black Dossier is a sequel to the books "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" one and two. A very good series, offering the idea that a world exists of all these characters we've read about. It originally was set in the late 1800s, led by a woman whom I shall not name. But, members of the league were Jekyll/Hyde, Captain Nemo, The Invisible Man, and Alan Quartermain. If you have seen the movie, but not read the books? I'm sorry. THe movie wasn't HORRIBLE, but it missed a lot of the point of the comic. And rewrote a few things so it would be more "hollywood".

Black dossier starts in 1953ish (I may be off on dates so far), and details an attempt to break into the old League Headquarters, in an attempt to find the Black Dossier...a book that details the previous leagues. Written by Alan Moore, who wrote the previous two, it is a graphic novel story, and yes, has a few major connections to the previous two books. There is rumor of another book coming out next year (The wait between this one and the last one has been extreme), but it will be done by...argh. Cannot remember the publishing house.

Basically, Moore was kinda irked at the way DC was allowing his comic books to be done as movies, and has said he will not publish through them EVER again.

At least, that's what I heard at one point. If I'm wrong, someone will correct me.

Anyways, friends, if I loaned you LOEG before, and you are even remotely interested in seeing where the story continues, let me know. And, if I've not loaned you the first books, and you are remotely interested...:-P
