My resume has been updated and posted to Careerbuilder. Along with a change to my cover letter there.

I really hadn't realized just how long it'd been since I'd even thought of Careerbuilder. I've been focusing (yes, in some cases, hyperfocusing) on school, on the process of getting through, making that work.

Well, now I'm branching out a little further. Massive jumps? HELL no. I'm comfortable with what I'm doing (and can't wait for a month to pass, when I'll have that paper in hand), but I am comfortable with what I'm doing in school, and ready for the next step of working, and being out on my own again, while earning that degree.

Go to go to dinner with the_pixie (Yay her being in town working for the company that many of my friends are working for, in one way or another), and Katmandu07, and Powerstar the other night. :-) That was quite a bit of fun. Talked them into going to Stir Crazy, as none of us had tried it. Of course, I tried the Market Bar (the stir fry bar..similar, but nowhere near as good as Mongolian BBQ). Still, had a very good chicken/peanut sauce/veggies mix. And a very good banana dessert.

Yesterday, in Intro class, the instructor had a friend of hers come in, whom she used to work with. He used to be a GM at Rock Bottom, but now is a co-proprietor of Mac Niven's, a pub located downtown, that has 135 beers, and caters to quite a different crowd than the normal indy "nascar" groups. :-P They also have varied differing types of food...http://web10.ls.sp1.yahoo.com/details?id=28442667

IF I were ever to open the Callahan's place (which has sounded like a more interested idea after talking to Koala a few times), I'd likely try to get info from them. For now, it's the "smaller" idea of what I mentioned above with multiple ideas/plans. All sorts of ideas come to mind...but, not many stay for too long. I know I want to live in an apt. again soon...I miss the northwest side of town, I wouldn't mind living on the south side of town. There are benefits to both.

Speaking on such topics..need to go ahead and pay for Gencon this year. If I "work" at Gencon, it'll be just volunteering to help a few of the groups I like there. No official working capacity at all (though, of course, that could change depending on a few factors). Will just have to see.

Hope all is going well for you. Sorry this spot isn't as "lively" as once it was. Really? I'm trying to keep a few thoughts rolling here (if for no other reason than most of you got to see me fly to pieces..it'd be nice to have some of the idea that those pieces come back seen..still, some will see it, some won't). Really? I just don't have as much to say as I did. I could scream about politics, but it won't do anything. I can say that I've got plans moving along, but really, until many of them come to fruition, there's no proof of that even. :-P

Ok. Quote time. Because yes, some things get to me. But, I have to remain mostly calm. The quote? From the Trade Paperback "Dirge", from Transmetropolitan.

"You're sounding weirdly calm"

""I could freak out, wet myself and rush into the street to kick a dozen puppies into jelly. But it's not going to bring the shit back, is it?"

Or, as someone else usually wiser once told me.."Stop borrowing trouble".

Amen.

Things will get here in their own time. My freaking does nothing to hasten that. :-) If anything, it just makes things more chaotic.

Have a great day. :-)
