But, I felt others should see it as well.

It makes my head hurt, but I think that's the point. And I have a LOT of respect for Teh Keith. :-)

Yes, I voted. That sociology teacher in High School still rings in my ears (Yes, that was the earliest "If you don't vote you can't complain" ideal that got stuck in my head then), and no, I really don't think my vote counted this election. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it. But, then again, I didn't see how it was possible, after 4 years of Bush, for him to be re-elected. Voter fraud, or any number of other things, can't be said...no matter what, the vote was close enough for them to get away with fraud if it happened. The fact is, close to half the country STILL voted for him, after seeing 4 years of what he did.

Yes, I think we all are praying to Loki, and that he guides things like that.

I've seen many people who say that if Hillary wins the primary, they will vote repub. I've seen similar number of people say that if Obama wins the primary, they'll vote repub. And I've seen a crapload of Democrats saying that the "Take my ball and go home" policy is horrible. Well, Bob, I hate to say it, but you can believe that all you want. NO matter what, it is OUR right to vote however we want. And if we can't in good conscience vote for Hillary, or Obama, then we won't, and that's how this whole process works.

Yes, it means we may end up with 4 more years of Bush-themed "democracy", but we play with the voting rules we have, not the ones we want.

It would be GREAT if either Obama or Hillary looked at the divisions within their own party, and one of them sacrificed. The problem is that neither of them sees a reason to. Hillary, because she thinks she can pull it out, and WANTS the election, and Obama because he's been in a strong position.

*shrug* The icon sums it up. :-)

Maybe the loser could just be the VP and we could get ALL the democratic votes, that might be a nice change for this country. *waves at Per* Yeppers still alive by the way!

I think that saying people have a right to vote how they like is not the same as saying that all votes are equally a good idea. If you let emotion lead you to vote spitefully for something you don't actually want, then that vote is stupid. We have a right to vote stupidly, but it doesn't make it less stupid.

I do wish the Democratic candidate selection would be over soon. Party divisions aside, it's chewing up a crazy amount of money.
