WOW. LOTS of snow...enough that, while I was on my way to work, my boss called and left a message at home that said "If you are still at home, go ahead and stay".

Feh. :-)

Still, it is pretty outside, when you're not looking at roads and such. Those look sucky.

At the very least, today will be a light day at work..when not a lot of people are here, there's not much to support. Of course, the upswing is that i can actually get a few things I needed to done...like backing up a machine I've needed to for a few days.

Or I could be bad, and print out a DVD cover for a Christmas gift.

Of course, I'm mildly curious what I will do for lunch..likely, it's an O'Charleys day..or my boss is driving us where we go. :-P

Anyone else trapped in this horrid weather?

Bite me.

You aren't trapped. *I* am trapped. No way my poor little car is going anywhere.

You realize laxmi76 did this to us with her wish for cold snowy weather when she came here...right??

How was last night?? Sorry I couldn't come, trust me, you don't want whatever I have.

Yes, it is Laxmi76's fault...especially since the first snow we got was Saturday night....the exact time she arrived.

Last night consisted of Mr and Mrs. Des (they brought chicken noodle soup, bread, and rice krispy treats...YUM) and S~. Laxmi and her husband weren't able to come up with the snow.

Thank you for sending the carrier and check. Was hopeing to use one and deposit the other today, but....MAYBE I'll try the bank later...MAYBE.

Right now I can't get out of the apartment complex; the snow is too high in the parking lot for the Malibu to drive over. [livejournal.com profile] royalcrow's supervisor (or one of them at work) came to pick him up so they could get people in, but I have NO IDEA how they're supposed to get back out to the customers in this weather. I've called work & told them I'll be there as soon as the parking lot is plowed enough to let me out.

Wouldn't mind just taking the day off anyway but I'll be a good employee & get there as soon as I can. ;)

Stay warm, dude.

It's 2:15 pm & they STILL haven't plowed. Finally called work, told them I wasn't going to make it (I kinda figured that out after I saw the USPS truck get stuck in our parking lot) and started doing things here.

Have a safe drive home when you're done at work.

after just getting my car back there's like a pound of snow on gerite but i think i can get it off. they're pretty good about getting snow plowed around here. not like there's anywhere to go, it's my day off. except of course to the dealship that not only tried to gouge me but lied about my water pump to pay them for the test on my car.

btw bought the first season of quantum leap. yea! :) thought i'd share that news, plus since i didn't need a water pump i'm only spending a little over three hundred dollars with paying for the test. :)

hell, I was standing in the parking lot after a 40 min. trip when my cell phone rang and it was my boss telling me to stay home.

We were south, in Southern Illinois, with between 12-18 inches of snow.
