Ok. Christmas was a lot of fun. Even with the relatives I don't like to hang out with much.

SEVERAL cool gifts..Mom and Dad once again said they weren't going to do much and once again, they did. I managed to walk away with a Mattress Pad for the new mattress, 2 sets of 250 thread count sheets, 2 new pillows, and a blanket. A pair of shoes, which I'm usually in need of once a year, some PSX games that my sister bought me...a neat little sand timer from my niece (She's under 10, and buying gifts for individuals...that amazes me). Got some candy, and an ornament (Mom always gets us one a year), and Kingdom Hospital, and Foul Play, and a duplicate of The Ref (Best Buy will be wonderful...have two DVDs to return, and $20 Gift card...can we say "Buffy Season 5"? Thought we could). And some Christmas Dishware from my Grandmother, Extended Lord of the Rings, some shirts, and a Yoga DVD, all in all, a great Christmas.

Then, yesterday, went to Sa's house to help her shovel...and got my car stuck..Spent several hours helping her shovel, and prayed it wa enough to get my car out. Then, after shoveling, we hit the hot tub. I'll say that Hot Tubs, in the middle of winter, on an open porch, can be wonderful..something about the cold air helping to keep you from overheating...Then, her husband got home, bringing dinner, and I went home shortly after. Got stuck outside of their drive, but managed to rock the car and get myself loose. The drive home was quick, so it seemed.

Slept on the newly assembled parts of the bed last night, and WOW...slept VERY well, for the first time in a long time. And actually can't wait to go home and sleep tonite...that makes me a bit of a geek. Of course, work is being mostly quiet today, so I'm working on a few non criticals...and lunch is a little over an hour away. Today will be Panera bread..where I'll be eating a Turkey Bacon Bravo, on Asiago Cheese Bread, and enjoying a bowl of Broccoli cheddar soup.

On a sad note, the news yesterday was dominated by the earthquake in Asia, and the Tsunami it created...at this point, the estimate is 21,000 dead (When I first saw news of it, it was saying 1,400). So, if you feel the urge to help, Savidya has a bunch of links for organizations that are trying to.

Yeay for good holidays! Congratulations.

Oh, get Ang the info on that bed. She needs a new mattress because ours is shot and all saggy in the middle. Make no inferences from that. Talk at you later...

Sounds like a great christmas. There's nothing better than a good night's sleep, I tell you what! Which Yoga DVD did you get? I finally got Buffy Season 1 this year. I have all of the other ones but that one...so finally the collection is complete! The extended LOTR: Return of the King rocks. I opened that one early, so we could have something interesting to watch when we got snowed in.
:-)

Actually, it's a very fun way to waste a day. Get all 3 extended versions and watch them back to back. Start in the morning with breakfast and work your way through lunch, dinner and dessert! Can you tell what I did for new years??!! LOL *sigh*
