Why we laugh...
Jun. 26th, 2008 03:44 pmSo, today was interesting. Got to class, out of three classroom accounting problems, i got 2 right (missed the first because I forgot to factor in wages..ugh). But, Classwork is considered a catch-all, so I still get the points.
Way home, car was acting odd. Had noticed a puddle a day or so ago, checked and filled coolant. Well, after getting home, and going out again, the car "Heat" started to inch to red...and once it got to red..no, it didn't stop like one expects in such situations, but it DID try to stall on me. Managed to get it home.
After fretting, got it down to our mechanics in Taylorsville. Only to find out that Dad's cousin retired a few weeks back. Hrm...
They couldn't replicate a leak, and therefore are thinking it to be the Intake Manifold gasket.
Parts & Labor? $498.
And they can't do it, as the guy who was there who does it is going on vacation tomorrow, and won't be back til the 7th.
So, I'm stressing. And freaking, and going to nap in a bit, but will wake up a little more refreshed.
And am glad I wasn't wearing my hematite ring today. Word is that Stress will kill those, and I think instead of it just breaking in two, it would have shattered much like the t-1000.
*sigh*
Ya know, I wouldn't be HALF as stressed, were my accounting class online, instead of having been moved to on campus.
Ah well. Wish in one hand...
Though, amusement..while waiting at the repair shop, National Lampoon's Vacation was playing on CMT. ?? I laughed a little, as it's been a LONG time since i watched that movie.
And that's it for now. Well, aside from realizing that someday, I must have a Dr. Tran icon that has him, squinting with one eye while deep breathing.
Oh what the hell. Enjoy. :-P
