First, I love my parents. They are always there to help me or my sister out. And almost always have gone well above and beyond.

Second. After this weekend, I will NEVER deal with Avis for car rentals.

And that is about as coherent as I am at this moment.

You know...I think we could totally talk on the whole AVIS issue. I will never use them again after what happened after getting hit by a drunk driver in Ireland.

They charged the car to my friend's credit car. Maxed it out. They refused to give us another car and black listed us. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere, injured, and at a garda station. We had to take a taxi into Dublin...because it was the next closest place with an airport where we could rent a car. That was quite a drive in a taxi. No one had cars and AVIS wouldn't even talk to us.

Ended up having to stay at a hotel (would have slept at the airport, except we had two kids with us!)...and trying to get a rental the next day. Found one with a company we never heard of. Rented. Drove across the country.

AVIS then proceeded to cause hell with my friend over the accident. Never, ever again...will I use AVIS.
