Inspired/ok'd by the comic book "Doktor Sleepless", this site has minions of Warren Ellis who are checking news articles, sites, and other such, looking for Outbreaks of the Future...neat future tech that appears to be coming today.
From Ellis' own description...
"Have you read DOKTOR SLEEPLESS #4? Did you perhaps put “grinding.be” into your webovisor, just to see what happened?
Boo.
My name’s Warren Ellis. You won’t see me here very much. I have given this place over to a crack team of mental patients with the brief to discover and present The Future — particularly the “future” of DOKTOR SLEEPLESS and grinder culture — wherever it lays, in potential, in the soil of The Present. I said to them:
Imagine: you want to be a superconnected, modified, new kind of human, and you consider your own body to be a work in progress, so you’re constantly looking for new things you can do to yourself (and others) while also keeping an eye on the collapsing planet around you because you want to have enough time to finish your body (or wish to use your many communications-technology devices to record it all as it collapses around your ears). That’s what you’re trawling for and gathering on grinding.be for others to keep up with.
This is how it begins. I imagine it’ll mutate, in time, as any culture or scene does. It’s going to be fun to watch.

In other news...verified with school...3 A's, a B, and a C+ (that last in Algebra, so I'm happy). Now to detox for a few weeks, wait for loans to kick in, and start the whole process over again. :-)
Lots of angst in my head, but I'm dealing with it as best as I can, so it doesn't bear a lot of speech. *shrugs*

Date: 2008-12-18 06:22 pm (UTC)*HUGS* Thanks again. I think I just need the down time to destress...VERY tired lately..feeling ill hasn't helped, and then sliding on my ankle yesterday. :) I think my body is just trying to get to relax a few, and I don't know how to take it. ;-)
