Apr. 23rd, 2009 09:58 amI'm trying very hard not to worry about running out of cash.
Loans for summer session should kick in about the second week of May...maybe the first week. I have $800 worth of repairs I need to do for my car, and at the way things are going currently, I'm going to plow into the ground in about a week and a half.
Not to mention I am currently worrying about finals. All seems to be going "ok" class wise...a few presentations to do, and exams, but the money thing is just making me more and more nervous.
I'd adore a powerball win...well, or a lottery win. ;-) It'd be fabulous to not have to worry about money for a bit. Unfortunately, that's not very realistic.
And I know that others are in deeper concerns than I...but I also know that mine are rough at the moment.
I've thought about getting a job...and about how that would affect my school performance. I've thought about donating plasma, and I've thought about all the useless crap I have that I could sell.
I don't think there's a lot that can be done. I'll borrow some money from my folks, and hope that it helps limp us to that loan line...I just needed to vent. And to try not to let it touch my anger spots...the being broke, that is, not the need to borrow, or where I'm "at". :-)
Hope you all are having a good week.

Date: 2009-04-23 02:36 pm (UTC)And now that I think, I had an instructor want me to help with a "technology and tourism" project...more of a study, that would pull in some. I need to make time to talk to her before rushing to Cav to do an Econ quiz..
*hugs* I hope that your situation works out too...you're right, money is a big bitch. And unfortunately, a bitch we all need. :-)

Date: 2009-04-23 02:46 pm (UTC)Internships are a *GREAT* Idea. Seriously, it gives you real world experience in the industry you want to work in while you get paid and looks great on a resume.
FYI, I know that Lucas Oil is always hiring security people. Basically you herd people to seats/stand at doors checking tickets for events. It's sporatic work but it shouldn't take much brain power from the school focus.
