When I had a political blog, back when the whole mess in Iraq started, I questioned a LOT of what was being shoved down our throats. I got a bit of "Well, you're unpatriotic", and "If you don't like it, move to another country.."
So, for us to have been sold the line that it was Weapons of Mass Destruction, only to have that fizzle...and then have more people sold on the "Iraq was linked to 911" line...to have Dick Cheney finally come out and say "he doesn’t think Saddam Hussein was involved in the 9/11 attacks" is a little infuriating.
Given that, and his about face on the whole Gay Rights issue (How convenient, given his daughter), it kinda paints a politician that many of us saw as completely self serving. Yeah, I know...look up the definition of politician. But I remember the chaos after 911, and the leaving Afghanistan to go to Iraq as it presented a greater threat.

"If you'll excuse me. If you need me, I'll be over there, getting drunk with the rest of the aliens"

Date: 2009-06-03 02:55 pm (UTC)None of these guys do anything without some kind of political motivation. Either he's planning on running for office, or he's found out about a potential investigation of the Bush administration and is planning on throwing his old boss under a bus.
