Good weekend. Friday, went out to dinner with friends, and had a good time...was stressing over lack of sleep, due to the nightmare, and had a Fosters, and hey, I calmed down a bit. :-) Passed around info of the passing of the A+ Hardware, and got congratulations, and stopped, as I didn't want to seem to be going ON AND ON about it.

Yesterday, Niece's birthday...lots of fun, til conversation turned political..then Sa called to let me know about Dinner and a movie...dinner was O'Charley's...had the Steamed Vegetables. Then, watched Sky Captain. DAMN. Much better than I thought it'd be...if you get the chance, go see this one. A little predictable, but man, it did a good job of surprising me, too. And, Laurence Olivier got a MAJOR credit, but that's weird, as they used Stock footage of him...he's been dead...15 years? Can't recall at this point. Either way, it was a cool movie.

Today, slept in a bit, got to hang out with Sa (Took her lunch), and came home to watch Carnivale, and record Huff...tape ran out 7 minute from the end of the episode, so I popped another tape in, and thanked the PLG that it was running again right AFTERwards. :-)

Now, time to get ready to go to sleep..oh, managed to break my computer chair tonite, so I guess I need to find a new one of those...damn. I think I've seen those go for about $100...that's not too bad.

Oh, and while at Mom and Dad's this weekend, went through a few boxes in the basement..found a few CDs I'd wondered what had happened to...Concrete Blonde, some Weird Al...and a few books, too. Need to make time to go through the rest, and figure out what to do with some of it. Apparently, three totes of old toys...Sis made a comment that I should give them to kids, if I have any...Dad, being a little more practical, said I could Ebay em, if they were in good condition. :-)

Have to come up with some more movie quotes...heard that the meme is going back around, and lord knows, I've got enough movies to do that one a few times. Ah well. Night.

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is a masterwork, IMHO. It's just that so many people don't seem to realize it's supposed to be funny. *baffled*
