#*@$ I'm nervous today. Nervous, scared, any number of other things.

It's one of those days that almost feels like a lynchpin..if you play the game "Chrononauts", then you know full well what i mean..if not, A lynchpin in that game is a key event that when you flip a lynchpin, it usually flips a couple of other cards that it affects. I feel like today is one of those.

As if I don't have enough crap to worry about with trying to get convention stuff done, and trying to pass the A+ cert, and reviews, and salaries, and living, no, I've got more stuff that can get added to the pile.

I need a vacation. I've got 30 days of vacation time, I need to just plan a few weeks...Savidya had an idea that intrigued me more than going to House on the Rock, and that was to travel down Route 66...just get on it, and keep going for a while. Of course, the upside of that is that it ends in Albq. :-) So, that'd be time to visit Echo. It's not a plan yet, but a neat idea.

I hate this feeling that a lot of my life and plans are on hold til next Thursday..that's a bit freeing, and paralyzing at the same time. I hate the duality sometimes.

Tomorrow is getting together with a bunch of friends, and watching "Garden State", of which I'm listening to the soundtrack right now...I don't really have anything "upbeat", and this is more introspective music...it fits the mood, and the atmosphere, right about now. :-P

Have a good day!

Route 66!! Yay!! There's a bed waiting for you if you come!

But don't do it in March when we're in Australia.

Vacations are nice....

.... perhaps you could take the Santa Fe Trail out west.... stay off the interstates and just have a ball. That was how we came back from Colorado, I think it was US 50 or somethign like that... there are plenty of books on "driving tours", we may have one you can borrow.

Per, have you ever read any meditation books? It might help you and the anxiety that you feel. I use to get nerveous too about various different things, but then I came to the realization that these things are usually just one small time frame in my life (such as going out to dinner with a high power executive). After coming to this realization and learning to breath properly, I can usually calm my soul fairly quickly. Heck, this last week I had the above situation happen, and I actually slept very peacefully the night before, no anxiety whatsoever.

As far as the driving goes, do it! We went on our trip last year where we didn't have any plans whatsoever. Just drove and would flip a coin ever time we came to a crossroad. Was very cool. We saw things we would have never saw by doing this. I saw Bear mentioned something about a driving book. We did pick up a few last year. The problem would be, how do you want us to get them to you? One is of the most scenic drives in America. The other is a general book of small towns America.
