per_soloOk, so, today was a trip to Oliver Winery.
VERY fun trip...6 of us total. Were in an SUV, so I was in the back.
Got there, and had to get pictures taken...saw a Frog Statue that made me instantly think of the game Zuma. If you haven't played Zuma, you should..it's a bit of fun..mindless, really.
Got into the winery, and DAMN, they were BUSY. There wasn't much room at the Tasting Bar...so, we went to try some of the chocolate that was being sampled today...there was a low carb Dark that was good...but, the best was a Chocolate Amaretto piece that they didn't have to sell. Must find it, as it was yummy.
Tasted some wines...the Port was STRONG, and the Soft Red was just as good as I remember it...the Cider was "eh". Then, they had some more chocolates to taste...I'm not sure how to describe them, but they, too, were damned good.
THEN, we took a tour of the winery..I found it cool, too. Several things I never knew about wine (Including where Cream of Tartar comes from..least, I think that's it)..there's a tour of the BIG facility in March, so a group of us are thinking of going back.
Ok, time to set the VCR to record MI-5, and then to bed. Good day, and now time for sleep.
