Watched Garden State this weekend...it's not a movie I recommend for a lot of people, but overall, I liked it.
Hit close to home on some things, and REALLY made me wonder what happened to some of the people I used to hang out with, or at the very least, want to find out where they went...Jessica Jensen (or Jenson..can't remember), John Allen, Donna Lawry, Dottie Thomason, any of the girls that were around VERY briefly when my friends Jamey or Greg were trying to hook up with them..of which I can only remember the name Tara Chaffin..There were a group of guys I hung around with all the time in HS, too...John, Ben, Chris...of course, that group scattered due to the "death of a friend", so I'm not as curious on them..then again, I saw several of them at the reunion 4 years ago...Wow, so that means, in theory, that I should have a reuinion next year...wow. Time flies.
I do not miss High School...I do miss a few of the people from that time period, but really, no. Now, if I had the opportunity to go back and keep all the knowledge I have now? Damn, that'd be tempting. Of course, I think I'd go bugfuck from just how old the computers would seem, and from shifting the day to day back to school, in the period.
I guess the main reason for wanting to find some of these people from the past is that I really want to know what became of them...did they get where they wanted to be, or did they just kinda get lost in the shuffle, like so many do? Changing dreams over to what they had to do to survive..it's not a major curiousity, but it is one that pops up now and then in my head. :-)
