And, was just informed by HR that it is most likely that we do NOT have enough people for the PPO dental plan...

Which means....do I cancel the appointment with the new place? Or take it on the chin, grin, bear it, and think of England?

I have to get HR to get this "assistant" off my title...

How does the "assistant" title affect your life?

The "assistant" is a part of what affects my salary. As I am now A+ Certified, and have been told by my boss that I'm not really doing the job of an assistant, that plays a part of my perception of my worth at work, and in actual salary.

If I had a slightly better salary, then I could afford to save, and not live paycheck to paycheck, and wouldn't have to feel threatened about going to a dentist that's not in our plan...according to salary sites, I'm making WELL below what my skillset dictates..and it's a point of angst for me...as I love my users.

Did you go read the post on the 9th? I think I put a fair bit of this into it. :-)

In short, I'm just angsting..and I'm sure some of this is hitting harder because I just got back from a WONDERFUL vacation.

That was really what I was asking. I didn't know if the "assistant" directly affected your salary. Since it does, I completely understand your frustration.

BTW: You might want to take it on the chin. A check-up is probably affordable, but if you need dental work, you'll probably have to go shopping for a provider who's covered (unless you have several hundred dollars lying around). I'd rather start building a relationship with a dentist who could actually do my dental work if I need it.

Yeah...I"m going to find out who all IS on the plan, and see what I can do. I'm just tired of this being an annoying week...:-P
