After going through the job ads, and a few web sites, and checking IUPUI's job listings, I'm done for the night.

The impression is that I'm well and truly fucked. Mayhap, too soon, and my brain is just fried in the search. Will work on resume tomorrow, and get it to a friend who wanted it to submit to his company. That job, in theory, doesn't open for a while (Curse budgets renewing at the end of the year...about 4 months after I'll have been let go), but it is what it is. This, btw, happens to be a good hour. I'm not railing, and saying "Fuck it all", but I am..tired.

Ah well, tomorrow, as they say, is another day. And a day with a new Family Guy episode..the first in several years. :-) So it's not all bad, eh?

**EDIT**

I should add more to this. The reason I say I'm well and truly fucked...EVERYONE, it seems, is looking for someone with a tad more experience than I have...and, not quite work experience, but more along the line of certifications. Yes, friends, the A+ is a good one to have, but from where I'VE been searching, it doesn't amount to a whole lot. It would have been helpful to get another cert this year, as I was under the impression would happen, but at this point, that's spilled milk.

Go ahead and apply for some of the jobs where youre less-than-qualified. Its normal for employers to ask for everything they want, but these days everyone wants certs, and very few places are willing to pay for them. The employer may not get candidates with all the certs it wants. Its good practice to apply for the jobs you think you can do, certs or no, then send the resume with a cover letter talking up the qualifications you do have. I only once got a rude response for not having something they asked for.
