May. 14th, 2005 10:45 amnot a whole lot to update. Updating the resume (It's going through another person), got a few leads on jobs.
The company that we used to rent space to mentioned an interest...I'll have to ponder that one. I don't believe they know exactly what they need...the owner of said company just stated that they are thinking it's time they had a full time tech. At the very least, it's worth investigating.
Company meeting on Monday, which I no longer have a clue whether I'm supposed to be at such or not. Of course, part of that is moot, as Monday afternoon, I FINALLY get to go see the Endocrinologist.
Today was supposed to be a party at my Uncle's, but he's moved that to tomorrow, because of the massive amounts of rain we are getting.
Tomorrow...L Word Season finale, which could be problematic, as Comcast said that on the 15th, only Digital subscribers can have access to that, so I may have to lean on a friend to get it recorded...and to me so that it can be watched on Tuesday. Desperate Housewives is also on tomorrow, and after that, I think next week is its last episode for the season, which I'm happy with. I'm actually waiting for this one to be done. Dunno what exactly has turned me off that show, but it has, in a major way. And, of course, tomorrow is a new episode of Family Guy. :-P
Star Wars is next week...and I read something about the millions of dollars that companies will lose because techies will be sick on Thursday or Friday. *heh* I have to admit...Luca$ has made me want to see it, and actually look forward to it. Ugh. *crosses fingers and chants* "it can't be as bad as the last two...it can't be as bad as the last two".
Of course, that's made me want to find the flash handles I have in the closet, and finally do the lightsaber prop conversion I've been thinking of for several years.
Enough rambling! Must shower, and get on with the day.

Date: 2005-05-16 01:21 pm (UTC)Well, It's not that I don't "like" DH...it just feels...stale, old, repetitive...and yeah, I've been catching Family Guy...adore that. We'll see if I'm hooked into watch DH next season from the finale.
Thanks.

Date: 2005-05-16 06:18 pm (UTC)the season finale of dh looks good though. have to tape that and charmed since i'm working. rumor has it charmed isn't coming back, which even though i'm fan i don't think is totally bad. it's had a good run and i don't really see what else they could do.
how are you handling carnivale being cancelled?

Date: 2005-05-17 01:19 am (UTC)I'm handling Carnivale being cancelled ok...I can deal with it by erasing the last 5 minutes of the last episode from my head. :-P
Can't wait to see how DH wraps up...haven't watched Charmed in forever..it's about time. You MIGHT investigate being on the "Charmed" panel at Incon this year...I know there is going to be at least one panel on it. :-)

Date: 2005-05-14 11:45 pm (UTC)I have mixed feelings about Desperate Housewives. I think I was more into it in the middle of the season too. I can see that it's ramping up for a big finale, and I'll see what I think of it when we get there. I have one episode on the DVR that I still haven't watched, but that's partly b/c I've been saving it for while Terran is out of town (this weekend).
I'd go for the company that thinks maybe they need a full-time tech. Maybe you can help them figure out what they need, and make it clear that they will have to send you to training for some of the skills that aren't currently in your repertoire. It could be a good deal, depending on how they go for it.

Date: 2005-05-16 01:19 pm (UTC)I understand on DH...I really just want the story done, so I know what's at the end of this season...will know more of what I think of it tomorrow...
Yeah, the problem is that the company that thinks it needs a FT tech has a problem paying their bills..they are currently leaving the building because the property manager has gotten tired of them...hence, I'd be worried that I might be screwed having to wait for a paycheck from them. In other words "hinky" feelings... :-)
