Number of said carcasses where it was MORE than just half of the body: 1
Good long, LONG, boring drive out. Good music..found a station as I got closer to Columbus that is 94.7, and they play "oldie/lite"..I heard Ace of Base, and felt old.
Got to Rob's, we got to the convention...met up with Colin of Hex, after we got our badges, and talked to him a bit...had some girl named Rachel who overheard me talking to Colin, surmised that I was me, and was supposed to meet Echo, told me about dinner with a bunch of them and SJ, and I went walking with Rob...we found the opening Ceremonies...saw Tom Smith, Mike Resnick, Larry NIven, SJ, John Kovalic, and MANY other names I'd not heard (Like ANimal X??). Anyways, after that, Rob split up to hit a few other areas of the con, and I went to dinner with Steve, Susan, Rachel and a guy named Keith. We walked to BD's Mongolian BBQ, which is about a mile away, from what I heard..good walk. I had 2 bowls, and felt full...and marvelled that, once upon a time, I'd put away 4 of those bad boys..and, these weren't very full bowls. Dear Lord, what have I become.
Tomorrow should be busy...wake up early to go over and put up the Chaos Machine (Which I've never seen, but hearing about it, it sounds more and more like a Rambaldi device out of "Alias"), and to hopefully find a camera and take some pictures...Camera..I don't own a digital camera, so of course, I didn't think of it.
Then to check dealer's room again..first pass through, NOTHING stuck out...UGH...UGH. I'm either older, or more mature, and REALLY nothing in there is jumping out at me..either way..I may buy a CD of Tom Smith's, for music on the way home, and go from there...DEBATING whether I should leave after I get back from the con tomorrow night, or sleep a few hours here at Rob's, or just get many cokes/caffeine coursing through veins, drive 3 hours home (Which is more like 4...ALWAYS am forgetting about time zone changes), and then sleep several hours once home, and go to a Cookout..
And go see Star Wars monday.
