Jun. 29th, 2005 06:24 pmThe interview went great...they'll start 2nd interviews soon, and I'll know if I get one of those.
Convention stuff starts tonite, with me finishing video stuff with Jeff, and hopefully having dinner with our artist Goh (Aaron Williams, under my friends as ps238principal). Tom Smith (Filkertom) will be arriving on Friday, as will our Author, Tara K Harper, and Eugene Roddenberry Jr.
Panels are, for the most part, set, gaming looks great, I hear Art Show looks good, and our Dealer's room has some top notch dealers in there...MUST control self, and not spend much while in there...I'll buy the obligatory game or supplement from Scott (one of our longtime dealers), and look...a lot. :-)
Video Room is showing some fun stuff...2 "cult" favorites...Bubba Hotep (which filled the room last year), and Lost Skeleton of Cadavra...if only we could have gotten Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (I THINK that's the title), but we are going to be showing the Showtime version of Reefer Madness. :-P
Nervous? Oh, HELL yes...but, at this point, it's essentially done...now is just to set things up tomorrow, open the doors wide on Friday, and hope we have attendees. I know we will, but it would be nice if the numbers reached what they were in 2001...
And, well, here's hoping there are no problems or issues with the Baseballers this year...in theory, there shouldn't be, but you never know.
Updates, as expected, will be sporadic.
As I said in the "Welcome to the Convention" blurb in the program book..Have fun. (Whether you're at the convention or not).

Date: 2005-07-12 01:59 pm (UTC)All in all, the convention at least appears to have had the goal I wanted (For the people coming to have fun), and we'll see if the rest shakes out. Next year's Potter theme should be interesting.
