Con is over....
Jul. 3rd, 2005 06:47 pmGeek needs SLEEP, badly.
Yes, folks, the convention is over, and went well, with of course, the usual array of intense insanity...I only blew one panel I was on, due to a VERY bad stomach reaction after eating Don Pablo's.
The guests had a great time. Tara was fabulous, Aaron was fabulous, Filkertom was fabulous. They all seemed to have a great time, and remarked about how friendly the convention crew is.
Tom gave me a CD (His work in project, ccan't wait to listen to it, after I get some ZZZzzz's), Aaron gave me a signed copy of his PS238 book, and I got a bottle of Oregon wine from Tara...and, surprisingly, I only had a few sips of alcohol over the whole weekend..something about being the responsible one in charge...go figure, eh?
NOtes were taken as to what panels were well attended, Savidya and friends seemed to have fun, the Independent Film Track went very well, and the program books were well received. Offworld Designs sold out of the XL for the T-Shirt (They seemed surprised), and Aaron seemed to sell quite a few of his books...I bought the standard "Game" from our game dealer, a few books from one of our book dealers....and I'm sure I'm forgetting somethhing.
Oh, and I donated blood, for the first time in my life. YEARS ago, I tried donating, but had a fever, so they said no..this year, all was well, tho, I'm curious on the bruise on my arm. :-P
I'm sure I'll post more on the convention later, but for now, a Hot Bath, and some seriously needed sleep.
How was your weekend?
