Step Two...

Step Two is taken care of.

Apparently, Step Three is to print out a form to request transcripts from my High School...get that to said High School, and then get them to transfer transcripts, or forward on, or whatever the hell they do.

These steps are scaring the hell out of me, just so ya all know...as of this moment, I think only one or two of you know just how scary this is...because, if I go back to school, it's to go full time...no pussying around, trying to make it a secondary priority when I have to work...This will be the main focus, because it has to be. No trying to juggle everything else on top of it..

Which, of course, from what I can see, means I won't be living on my own any longer...Who knows what it does to the convention stuff that's been such a key part of my life for the last 10 years...or the game demo'ing (Which is being kind enough to pay for presents for several this year)

But, the first two steps are done...now to get step three done, and see if I'm accepted...if I'm not accepted, well, that makes at least one decision a bit easier...if I am, well, that chicken little "Sky is falling, everything in my fragile little world is changing" feeling increases...and honestly, I can't think of one thing that won't be changed by this.

It's almost the feeling of deconstructing one's life, in order to rebuild it (make it better, stronger, faster...no, wait, that's TV quoting coming back into my life), but basically, changing so many things...

I don't deal with ONE major change well, let alone what feels like a hundred.

But, the torpedoes are damned...the rudder is set...and the wind, she be a blowin'

If you are not accepted to one school (like the School of Science/Pyshology), try to get into the "General Studies" program or try to go in "undeclared". You can then take classes and show the "schools" what you are willing to do.

Also, I have a book somewhere with a shitload of grants/scholarships. I think I asked this, but did your Dad server in the military? Your gandfather? Etc? There are good programs out there, you just have to look, and apply.

Both Dad and Grandpa served...hell, dad was >< close to going overseas (which, in the early 70's wasn't a good thing).

I need to snag that book from you...or find an online version.

Was/is your dad considered disabled by the VA? (or could he be?) Even a 0% diasbility helps. I mean, dude, if you qualify for this: http://www.in.gov/veteran/sso/brochure/remission.html
You have your tuition and fees paid for, then all you need is books, parking, and of course, living expenses, which you might be able to get with a part time job.

oops...that is 10%... things like diabetes and such still qualify.
