And, shortly after that, the Motherboard died. I had been smart enough to transfer the data I HAD to save across to my spare drive.

And just checked it, and nothing there. WTF..and, after much double checking, no, somehow the stuff I transferred (and VERIFIED) is no longer there. This includes my bookmarks, my saved mail...everything.

I'm a bit tired of the computer problems...and should have assumed after the dead Video Card that the M/B was next..

So, now I'm limping along...with an old Gateway.

Never mind the screaming you hear in the background.

Windows? If so, Stellar Phoenix recovered my hard drive when nothing else would even recognize it.

ah, but everything else on that drive? No problem..just the stuff it told me it transferred right before it went down the final time. I've already formatted the primary drive, this was the "storage" drive that somehow the stuff never got transferred off to. Will look into it, just to be safe...I'm assuming that it never got there.
